An educational question-and-answer game including an answer check device with a code element and a carrier for a setting device. The code element and the carrier are linked by a spring generating a torque. An advantageous embodiment of this idea consists of anchoring the upper end of the spring in a slot of the adjusting disc. Its lower end is connected to a rotatable intermediate disc which acts as a frictional clipping clutch against the bottom on which it rests with an elastic rubber ring. The same system is also practicable when the code track is layed out for another number of possible anchoring positions for the adjustable element.
