Plastics coil holder for salient pole motors field-coil heads - has shoulders holding heads and hollow split legs sealing coil slots

The coil holder for the heads of field coils in salient pole motors, is constructed from thermo- or duro-plastics and consists of pairs of U-shaped retention pieces whose shoulders overhang the heads of the field coils and whose legs form closure keys which seal the coil slots in the stator's laminar packet. Each leg has an axial bore hole and is split along its length to allow the thin wire of the coil to pass into the axial hole where it joins the thicker terminal wire. Each retention piece is curved through up to 180 deg. and its legs meet the legs of the second retention piece passing through the stator slots axially parallel from the opposite side.
