The salient pole electric machine fixture method for the field coils winding head is designed to improve the cooling of the active parts of the motor partic in the region of the coil winding head and to stop parts of the insulation material (e.g. thermo- or duroplastic) dropping down into the airgap between the armature and pole faces as a result of relatively high temperatures leading to melting of the insulation. The field coils, during winding of the stator laminations stack, are wound through the cavities formed by the insulation material collars solely for preliminary fixture of the coil winding head. The collars are separated after curing the impregnating material for the end sections winding.
