The valley fastening for the mechanical fastening of insulating materials and sealing sheets on flat roofs consists of a plastic holder with a hollow shank and a formed head plate. A screw (1) fits in the hollow shank of the plastic holder with its head (3) recessed. The head of the screw seats on a shoulder in the hollow shank close to the end of the shank and the point of the screw protrudes from the end opposite the head plate. The point (4) of the screw cuts into the roof sub-structure or protrudes into a dowel anchored in it. The underside of the screw head has a spherical or cup-shaped forming.
