Steam raising plant - esp. for use with pressurized light water cooled reactor has asymmetrical primary coolant tubes

A horizontal mid section boiler with separator and steam drier above the enclosed centre limbs of the U tubes forming the primary coolant circuit has two unequal length vertical cylindrical downward extensions through which the side limbs of the U tube pass, the short limbs being less than half the length of the longer. The boiler feed water (secondary coolant) is fed into the lower end of the short limb section which contains deflector plates and thence rises into the mid section and in so doing is heated without evaporating.
