The playback set has a synchronous mechanism which operates with one or two driving rollers, so that no conventional pressure roller is used. The constant run-off of a dummy or playing tape is operated by the one or two driving rollers which rest against the tape two points and enable by virtue of this frictional union an even take-off of the tape from both conveyor rollers to be obtained. The unwound quantity of the tape corresponds to the rotational path of the driving roller with a revolution of 360 deg.
