Decorative coatings on window-pane exteriors - consisting of stoved in silver-glass ceramic plated with micro-fissured metal layers

Window-pane is provided with a metallic ornamental strip of a stoved in ceramic metal layer, esp. an Ag layer, which is chemically or electrochemically plated with a micro-fissured decorative layer system build up of layers, pref. as a Ni-Cr, Na-Au or Ni-Pt combination with =2 layers. Used esp. for external windows of motor-vehicles, partic to achieve optical effect of a decorative frame. Fissures allow expansion and shrinkage on exposure to extreme temp. charges, e.g. sunshine and night-frost. Layers have long service-life and do not peel off.
