Formwork with beams clamped in holes in main beams - spacer components cause intervening beams to adopt convex shape

The purpose is to give the form membrane a superelevated convex surface so that a flat surface is achieved following the elastic deformation of the main beams resulting from concrete pressure. Parallel beams are inserted in a series of holes along parallel main beams, with bracing media, and the membrane is borne by the intermediate beams parallel to the main ones. The spacer units, pref. pairs of wedges, are set between the joint surfaces of the openings on the main beams and the cross beams, distributed along the length so as to give a convex contour to the intermediate beams and the formwork membrane carried by these. The bracing media may consists of sets of two superimposed wedges.
