The device has spacers (18) held by a connection screw (14), where the device connects a component (10) e.g. cross beams, with a screw plug hole (19), with another component (12) at a distance. A toothed ring (38) is inserted into the spacers. The screw plug hole is surrounded by a flange (40) of the former component. The flange is locked into the ring. The hole and the flange are formed by nuts (16) e.g. welding nuts, connected with the former component. The spacers are provided in a side piece (28) of a holder (32). One of the nuts is provided in another side piece (30) of the holder.
