In addn. to mixing water, hydraulically setting materials are admixed with 1-20 wt. % (r.r.t. total mixt.) epoxide resin binder and a hardener compsn. which contains (by wt.) 0-95 pts. polyamidoamine of viscosity 500 poise at 20 degrees C and amine no. 360, 0-93 pts. cycloaliphatic diamine of viscosity 1 poise at 20 degrees C and amine no. 470, 0-90 pts. polyamine of viscosity 16 poise at 25 degrees C and amine no. 920 and density 1.07 at 20 degrees C, and bal. (to 100 pts.) made up by one of the other hardeners cited. Used for concrete, cement, lime mortar and gypsum, for use in building, and give improved workability, with possibility of lowering water/cement factor; increased early high strength, bending strength, wear-resistance, elasticity and surface hardness; improved adhesion on old concrete and other substrates; reduced shrinkage cracking; strongly reduced absorptive capacity of surface; and improved resistance to chemicals.
