The system to control the absorption of separate or combined dyestuff components, by modifying the dyestuff temperature, uses a light beam passing through a tube which is periodically filled with dyestuff by a valve to dwell sufficiently for photo-electric assessment, for the generated signal to be stored for comparison with a preset factor for the temp. to be modified if there is a variation beyond the required tolerance. The system ensures that the translucence of the dyestuff, and the passage of the light beam through it, is converted into an accurate reading for use in temp. control to regulate the dyestuff absorbance.
