The combustion gas is supplied to equalise the weight of heavy fuel and/or other expendable material of the driving engine. The supply of heavy fuel is formed at least partly of compressed combustible gas which following pressure release is supplied to aid lift. A lift gas cell containing combustible gas is encircled by a helium filled cell. Several such combustile gas cells are provided and the flow of gas from and to them is controlled by a regulating unit. The surrounding shell of helium reduces fire risks from the combustible gases.
