The speed control compares the actual speed with the selected reference speed and controls the drive to generate a set acceleration until the selected speed is reached. The system operates in semi-automatic transport systems. An inclination sensor is fitted to modulate the traction to compensate for the downhill pull on the vehicle. This prevents the vehicle from rolling backwards when starting on a hill. The output from the inclination sensor is fed to be preset controls to compensate the acceleration level as well as the traction force.
