Continuous measurement of fuel consumption of vehicles - with indicators for speed and fuel consumption per unit time

The indicators are so connected to a computing and indicator device that the fuel consumption is displayed in volumetric units per distance unit, e.g. in litres per 100 km. The speed indicator is an a.c. generator with a permanently magnetised rotor and connected rectifier. On the other hand, it can be a d.c. generator and it can be driven from the tachometer shaft of the vehicle. The d.c. voltage of the speed indicator charges the capacitor via the resistance. The pulses from the flow indicator reach the base of the transistor which discharges the capacitor when a pulse is received.
