The garden ornament being mounted on the stone, such as lantern, dwarf or vase is mounted directly on it, and is shaped so that it can be connected to a bulb, socket and battery. The shape of the ornament has to be taken into account when incorporating the electrical equipment. The electrical bulbs can alternately be supplied from the mains by two or three-wire cables; in this case a transformer is needed for transforming to a lower 42 V voltage.
