Tractor seat with adjustable lateral tipping - with double action hydraulic support ram with manual control valve

The tractor seat is mounted on a pivot axle set longitudinally in the vehicle. It is prevented from tipping sideways by a double action ram between seat and floor. The two sides of the ram are closed by a shut-off valve linked to a manual lever by a spring loaded linkage. If the tractor is driving along a slope the driver operates the lever to release the ram and tilts the seat to the desired position with his feet, before the lever is released to lock the setting. A safety device monitors the inclination of the tractor and gives a warning if the set amount of tilt is exceeded, which is possible if the driver is in an upright position where he cannot 'feel' the tilt.
