Machine for forming sealed subsoil trench - conveyors transport backfill over plastic sheet laid in trench

The machine has two cutting edges at the front, one being above the other (2 & 25). Soil excavated by these blades is carried over the machine by two conveyor belts (7 & 24) to the rear. To the frame of the machine is fitted a roller which contains plastic sheeting which unrolls into the open trench. This sheet (10) is turned up at the edges against a template (28) to form a basin. As the machine travels forward the soil falls from the conveyors into the trench thereby back filling it. The machine is mounted on wheels and may either be towed or self propelled.
