Numerical voltmeter which integrates an unknown voltage during a determined line and stores this integrated voltage, also compares it with a reference voltage to indicate the identity of the two integrated voltages and also measures the charge time of the integrated voltage up to this identity. The reference and unknown voltages are integrated in a common integrator. For comparison a two input comparator is used one input for the integrated reference voltage the other for the integrated unknown voltage. The voltmeter has also means for imposing on the unknown integrated voltage a transfer potential whole amplitude equals twice the value of this unknown potential and whose sense is such that when to the voltage thus transferred one adds the integrated reference voltage, the sum of these integrated voltages passes through zero during integration of the reference voltage, this sum being transmitted to one of the comparator inputs whose other input is connected to a near zero potential.
