This invention discloses sensitized cells for use in passive agglutination. Such cells are prepared by using as a carrier micro-organisms which have been subjected to the cell wall fixation thereof with formaldehyde and then the intracellular fixation thereof at a temperature above 90 DEG C for at least 5 minutes and adsorbing an antigen or an antibody on the carrier.
