To re-emulsify the fuel mixture which tends to return to a liquid state after leaving the carburettor, a disc having a thickness of 2m-25 mm is m-fitted at each inlet manifold port (2). The disc is porous with preferably 15-45 pores per linear 25 mm and is made of a foamed metal with a nickel chrome alloy. The pores have sharp edges which held to break down the fuel particle and to re-emulsify petrol which has condensed out on the walls of the induction tract. The disc fits into a recess at the entrance of the inlet port into the cylinder block.
