A machine for the automatic loading of ice cream sticks into the freezing moulds of lollipop ice cream machine includes a conveyor with recesses for the sticks which moves along under a magazine. When the number of sticks required for one row of radial moulds is ready, clamps grip the stick ends in pairs and swing them through 270 degrees. Release of the clamps then drops the sticks through funnels into their respective freezing moulds, filled with ice cream mass. This machine has the same capacity as a circular ice cream freezing machine and can be operated without strain by one person.
