Reclaiming foundry moulding sand - using chamber contg. fluidised bed, pneumatic accelerator, and impact wall

Moulding sand cleaner, using a housing provided with a sand-inlet and -outlet, and contg, an impact wall plus a pneumatic device accelerating the sand towards the impact wall. The pneumatic device consists of a pipe open at both ends with the impact wall located above the pipe, whereas the bottom end of the pipe contains a ring slot surrounded by a ring chamber connected to a compressed-air supply, and, in the housing, is a free path for air outside the pipe and between both ends of the pipe. The ring chamber is pref. adjustable along the axis of the pipe, and the bottom part of the housing pref. contains a device making a fluidised bed of the sand. Used for the reclaiming of resin-bonded sand moulds. The pneumatic device accelerating the sand results in the resin being broken off the sand grains when they hit the impact wall.
