The hysteresis motor rotor with squirrel-cage winding has a hysteresis cylinder and a soft magnetic circular laminated sleeve between this cylinder and the air gap. The sleeve has slots to accept the squirrel-cage winding rods as in 1638418. The hysteresis cylinder consists of one or more tubes (2, 3) whose inner spaces are filled with a non-magnetic material (4) leaving only a hole (9) for the rotor shaft (5). The outer ends of the filler material have projections that act as fan blades (6). These projections are cast at the same time as the filler material. The front face of the filling material may have blind holes for balancing elements.
