The ratio of division of the high-voltage divider for testing is determined with the aid of a low-voltage standard voltage divider by comparing the ratio of division of the voltage divider for testing, under its operating conditions, with that of the standard voltage divider, which is chosen to be equal to the rated value of the ratio of division of the voltage divider for testing. An additional high-voltage divider is connected parallel to the voltage divider for testing and a ratio of division is set on the former, which is equal to the ratio of division of the voltage divider for testing. The standard voltage divider is then cut into the circuit of the additional voltage divider and the potential difference between the outputs of the standard voltage divider and the voltage divider for testing is measured. The value of the potential difference is used to determine the ratio of division of the voltage divider tested.
