Rationalised self-service system for shoe-shops - comprises floor-mounted test bars fitted with shoes of different sizes and designs

The self-service shoe bar comprises two step boards (1, 2) mounted longitudinally side by side on the floor and connected together at each side at a distance from each other by bearing connecting members (3) so that there is an open space (4) between the two boards. A removable rod (5) fits into the bearing members (3) on each side extending over the length of the cavity between the two boards, this rod being fitted with spacer tubes (6) which via a clip (7) hold the shoe (8) on the rod (5) so that the shoe can be tilted up and down to a limited extent. If one shoe of each size and design is mount ed on its own board the customer merely goes round trying out the different shoes.
