Temperature measurement evaluations - for thermocouples and resistance thermometers with values independent of terminal or ambient temps

Three separate measurements are carried out using the same meas. system. Before each measurement the system input is short circuited to obtain the voltage drift at the output of an analogue/digital convertor. The digital drift is fed into a binary forward/backward counter so that when the measured voltage is fed in, the counter contains the digital value of the drift-free measured voltage. In the second measurement a thermocouple voltage is evaluated and a corresponding digitalized and linearized value is stored in a read/write memory. In the third measurement a resistance thermometer is used to measure the thermocouple voltage and this value is evaluated and stored in a computing device.
