A model railway type track constructional units are constructed such that they can be lengthened by extending either the track or rail sections. Similarly the tracl constructional units may be shortened by pushing together the track or rail sections. The track may be designed either as straight or curved sections, and in each case the method employed for lengthening or shortening the track is the same. The construction of this track system is constructed to the conventional system where a unitary type track of solid unvariable design is used.
