Transport case for premature or new born babies - conveys to intensive care unit of lightweight polystyrene foam

The case has good thermal insulating properties to maintain the baby's body heat and is compact, lightweight and easily sterilised. A housing of isothermal material is made in two parts, the lower part being contoured to the child's body whilst the upper part forms a lid covering the baby up to the neck but leaving the head free. Pref. the material is a polystyrene foam. The lower part is recessed to the child's contours and equipped with a projecting rim with a groove in it into which the lid fits tight. The recess is deep enough for the child's head to be lower than the lower edge of the lid.
