Snow protection for windscreen wiper - has elastic sleeve to totally enclose wiper plus extra blade section

The wiper and wiper support are enclosed in an elastic pocket (32, 33) which is slipped over the blade. The pocket has a moulded blade section into which the wiper blade edge (21) is located to provide the wiping edge. The top of the wiper blade assembly (14) is enclosed in a larger volume pocket which is sealed by the clip-edges (34, 35) in the cover. A hole is left in the cover to allow the wiper arm to pass through to the blade. The pocket thus totally encloses the wiper blade assembly and protects it from snow and ice build-up. It replaces conventional pockets which were open on one side and which required the wiper blade to be removed from the wiper arm for fitting.
