The machine consists of a frame attached to the front of a tractor. The attachment points on each side of the tractor frame support two arms, the ends of which are joined by a cross member. The cross member, which is supported in the centre by a bar attached to the front end of the tractor, has a cutter at each end driven through a system of belts and pulleys. The tractor driver can adjust the height of the cutter bars by means of an arm acting on the frame. The cutter bars are also rotatable to positions between the vertical and the horizontal planes, and can be offset.
