The lower wall of the water box is narrower than the grooves in the collector trough, and a flexible and distorting sealing strip is fitted in the bottom of the latter. The strip can have a figure-8 section in its unloaded state, and initially its sides are not pressed against the trough walls. The bottom of the water box can have a ridge running along it where it bears against the strip. The invention allows trough and water box, the latter can be of moulded synthetic resin, to be sealed together without any welding being necessary. The radiator is particularly for use in motor vehicles.
