Detecting biological changes in normal and pathological living tissue - by measuring thermogeneous properties by means of thermistor system

Biological changes such as spread of tumours or inflammation are detected by quantitatively analysing the electricl output of heat transducers mounted on materials in contact with the body surface. A thermistor system is mounted on a plastic sponge suspended in a frame with springs. Each thermistor is connected to a flexible multiwire cable by pipes, the cable being connected to a display board. The springs are joined to members which are retained by guide rollers on the frame to allow vertical displacement for easy examination of each part of the body.
