Water is supplied to the comb through a nozzle at the end of the handle of the comb. The water then passes through a pipe to a valve which is operated by a lever. This lever is operated by the hand of the user which passes through an opening to hold the comb. The water then passes to a rotary valve operated by a button so that either the shampoo, which is contained in a reservoir, or rinsing water can be fed to the hollow teeth of the comb.
