Simultaneous application of an adhesive coating to the reverse face of a fabric or film and a printing transfer to the abverse face of the same fabric/film, by leading the film under tension around part of a rotating drum while enclosing it between an ancillary webbing freshly coated or impregnated with adhesive and a carrier film carrying a print pattern to be transferred by contact, sublimation, etc. For mfr. of printed, adhesive backed textiles, knitted fabrics or films, including e.g. foil covered laminates, multiply films or other composite structures. Achieves in one operation two processes traditionally performed successively on linked or independent machinery. The printed pattern remains undistorted and premature loss of volatile constituents from either the adhesive composition and/or the printing materials via the opposite face of the support sheet is inhibited.
