Press for mechanical extraction of fodder juice - has ram with plates for improving extraction efficiency and pressure difference

The press for mechanical extraction of juice of green plant leaves is used for making concentrated fodder. The efficiency of the juice extraction is improved by using a ram with projections to ensure non-uniform pressure distribution within the vegetable matter pressed. Pressure differences generated ensure that leaf cell walls are readily burst for juice extraction. The ram (1) and the pad (2) may both be provided with plates parallel to the ram travelling direction. In place of plates can be used concentric tubes. The channels (3) formed are used for guiding depleted plant material. Side openings (7) can be provided in plates for facilitating extraction.
