Each mixing tube is provided with a slow running jet (15, 15a) whose feed cross section is regulated in the conventional manner by a sprung taper needle screw (16, 16a). The auxiliary air feeds (19, 19a) to the slow running jets are coupled to a common regulator (26) containing an air intake aperture (22) whose cross section can be varied by a spring adjuster screw which has a smooth stepped end section (27). Air inlet apertures are evenly distributed around the bore axis and are positioned in a vertical plane which means the screwed end of the regulator is evenly throttled.
