Circulatory-active phenylethylamine derivs - from bis-(3,4-dimethoxy-6-methylphenylethyl)-hexamethylenediamine and boronitro-bromide

Phenylethylamine derivs. are of formula (I):- (where R1 = lower alkyl; R2 = H, lower alkyl or hydroxymethyl; n = 2-10), and salts with inorganic- and organic acids. (I) are pref. N,N'-bis-(3,4-dihydroxy-6-methylphenylethyl)-hexamethylenediamine and acid-addition salts, and are prepd. from bis-(3,4-dimethoxy-6-methylphenylethyl)-hexamethylenediamine and boronitro bromide. (I) may be used in the treatment of hypertension, in shock therapy, in cases of acute kidney failure connected with hypertension.
