Grain wetting eqpt. with paddle type rotor - design of paddles and water feed regulation ensure controlled wetting

There is a stationary housing into which the grain is fed at one end, to be carried through as a layer around the walls to the other end, and into which water is sprayed, as a paddle type rotor conveys the grain from the feed and to the delivery end. The rotor carries a very large number of plate type paddles arranged in rows and various patterns of paddles are shown. The water is sprayed in at the feed end. The rotor is driven at a speed to ensure a peripheral speed of the rotor blade tips of between 6 and 30 m/sec. Various speeds and rates of injection of water are given.
