Vehicle window consists of an inner casement hinged to the window rim at the bottom, and an outer casement hinged to the top of the window, with struts which couple the casements so that the outer casement swings out and up when the inner is opened. The inner casement (3) also swings up and outward and the struts (10) on this engage notches (13) on the outer casement in so doing so as to hold this in the upwards swung position. - Preferably the outer casement should have cams (12) above the notches to locate the struts in the end setting. Cams and notches should be arranged on a holder batten (14) of U section let into the outside casement frame to form two legs, the struts suitably angled at the ends to engage between these legs. Vent openings are pref. provided in the outer casement (11).
