The frequency doubler, for squarewave pulse trans, has the pulses applied over a capacitor (C) and two oppositely- poled diodes to the two inputs of a differential amplifier (DV). The anode of one diode is connected to the junction between a first series pair of biasing resistors, and the cathode of the other diode is connected to the junction between a second series pair of biasing resistors. The frequency doubled squarewave is taken from the amplifier's output. The two decoupling diodes are poled so that negative pulses reach the amplifier's positive input, and positive pulses its negative input.
