The fuel injection timing is adjusted by a regulator receiving signals from an engine rev counter (1a) and signals corresponding, to the fuel delivery volume (1b). The signals are fed to a voltage control generator (2) and an injection adjustment voltage generator (3). The output is lead to a comparator circuit (4) and an electro magnetic valve regulator (5) to regulate the fluid volume in a servo chamber (7). The servo chamber contains a plunger whose connecting rod is lined to a sliding sleeve joining the injector pump drive shaft to the engine. The engine drive and the pump shaft ends are provided with an helical gear whose angles run opposite to each other. By turning the connecting sleeve, the pump shaft can be displaced radially to produce the required degree of advanced or retard in respective to the engine drive shaft.
