A stencil to assist drawing operations, partic. for use by school children or by students, having applications for technical or technological drawings is constructed such that the stencil or drawing aid has in addition to the more conventional cut out sections for easy reproduction of designs for circles (2), surface symbols (6), electronic component symbols (5) and other similar objects, a series of cut out designs for use in designs incorporating hydraulic or pneumatic components (3) and also for constructional and portional tolerances (4).
