The lighting device consists of a light source, pref. an incandescent lamp, mounted on a bse in a vertical fitting. There is at least one reflective surface attached near the light source. this reflective surface is in the form of a transparent reflector body (4). The reflector body (4) may be a glass device, and is supported near the light source (5) by thin rod or wire supports (3). The free ends of the supports (3) for the reflector bodies (4) are attached to the reflector bodies (4) on the side furthest away from the light source (5) itself. More than one attachment point may be utilised.
