Mould spray head - supplied with air and opt. by pneumatically operated switching valve

A spray head for a mould spraying unit has feeds for working air and =1 liq. working medium, i.e. water or a lubricant. A feed for switching air is additionally provided. At least one outlet opening is connected not only to the working air feed, but also to a feed for a liq. working medium. A switching valve is incorporated in the connexion to the liq. working medium feed and can be controlled by the switching air. Pref. the spray head comprises a mixing device, esp. a Venturi tube mixer, the switching valve being situated between this mixer and the liq. worming medium feed. The spray head is capable of delivering not only a liq. working medium but also air. It is utilised in compression moulding, drop forgin and analogous finishing operations in which the moulding or forming surfaces must be cleaned, lubricated or otherwise treated as well as cooled between each forming operation.
