Eccentric screw pump with spiral-shaped rotor - has spiral-shaped housing surrounding the rotor and roller rings between rotor and housing

Eccentric screw pump has a spiral-shaped rotor/(4) which rotates in a multiple spiral housing (13). Several exchangeable roller rings (15) are positioned between the rotor and housing. The rings are held between circular shoulders with the aid of adjusting units (16, 17) mounted on the free ends of the rotor. The outer rolling surfaces of the rollers have an elastically flexible wear coating made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The rings are e.g. barrel-shaped and, more specifically, are fabricated completely from PTFE.
