A hydropneumatic pressure reservoir with a domed cover (2) which is shouldered so that it fits inside the lower shell (3) and welded all round, has a groove (5) around the bottom (4) of the cover, to receive the be (6) of the resilient diaphragm (7) housed inside. Thus the diaphragm is suspended from the cover, for assembly before the welding operation. The beaded edge is chamfered (18) all round the outside. The beading is generally rectangular in cross section, and extends inwards, as a rim all round the inside.
