The folding cover has a window pane (10) set in a cut-out section and mechanically fixed to the cover material (13) by a resin bead (12). The edge (14) of the cut-out section on one side and the edge (11) of the pane on the other are each embraced by their own beaded element (12, 15) which form a frame and which have joining faces (24, 25) which fit exactly together. The two beaded elements are held together by detachable connectors (16) such as screws operated from inside the cover and engaging through the inner beaded element and into the outer beaded element.
