The hop harvester (4) consists of a portal-frame over the tractor (1) with supports (9, 10) at the back and front of the tractor (1). The hop-plucking mechanism (5) is roughly horizontally situated over the tractor (1). Underneath the plucker (5) is a conveyor-belt (40) which runs over deflector rollers (41, 42) near the back end. Underneath the conveyor-belt (40) is a delivery belt (43). The hop-plucksing mechanism (5) incorporates an inclined conveyor which has conveyor-screws (30, 31, 32) perpendicular to the conveyor direction and spaced between shorter belts (27, 28, 29). The top pluckers are fixed to revolving continuous belts (25, 26) extending over the conveyor screws at least. Compression rollers (36), next to a dropper (38) chop up the hop bines and throw them onto the ground.
