Motor-driven hop harvester - double pick-up unit with contra-rotating conveyor belts with elastic plucking fingers

The two pick-up units work on two hop rows at a time and consist of two arms (21, 21'). Each arm has a continuous conveyor belt (20, 20') rotating in contrary directions but synchronously. At the end of each belt are pincers for gripping the ends of the bines cut off above their roots. Between the arms (21, 21') is a transparent pane (22). Chain-belts (27, 28, 29) are spaced apart from each other crosswise to conveyor-screws (30, 31, 32) with contrary screw thread (33, 33'). A top chain-belt (25) extends above the first screw (30) at least. The screw threads of the screws (31, 32) other than screw (33) are covered by an additional cover (34, 35). The bine belts (20, 23, 20', 23': have a front intake section (7) and an operating section (8) with the speed of the intake section (7) higher than that of the operating section (8).
