Two-station moulding machine for boxless sand moulds mfr. - with turnover for easy core insertion

Machine for mfg. foundry moulds, using two units, each provided with a sand filling and compacting station, and a pattern holder, for the simultaneous mfr. of two separate parts of a mould; each unit is also provided with a device carrying pivot arms which pivot round a vertical axis in a horizontal plane, the arms carrying the moulding frames which can be rotated 180 degrees round a horizontal axis by the arms, to turn the drag upside down; the arms carry the two moulds to an assembly station where one mould is aligned above the other on a transport device. The novelty is that at least three pivot arms are provided for each unit, the arms being equispaced and carrying moulding frames which can be rotated 180 degrees round a horizontal axis and be moved independently up and down. The machine is pref. used for mfg. boxless moulds. Provides simultaneous mfr. of a cope and drag with easy core insertion due to the 180 degrees rotation or the mfr. of a mould consisting of several sections.
